The quick connect design allows quick and easy connections without the use of installation tools. It is great for new installations or plumbing repair projects for Pex, copper, and CPVC pipe. Just cut pipe and push Pex, copper or CPVC tubing into fitting end until tubing seats at stop. It can be disconnected by pulling back on ring and releasing pipe. It is code approved for behind wall without access and direct in ground burial installations. It is NSF-14, NSF-61, CSA/ASTM and UPC code listed and approved. It is an excellent replacement for Qest and Flare It type fittings. It has a 1 year limited warranty. Watts Quick-connect valves are designed and manufactured for many years of trouble-free service.
