Forney 2 lb. .030 Flux Corded Wire Spool is a self-shielded flux-cored wire that is used for welding mild steel. It has a tensile strength of 70,000 psi and a diameter of 0.030 inches. It is recommended for use with a DCEN straight polarity. This wire is best suited for single pass applications with high travel speed. It produces moderate to low spatter, and although no gas is required, an Argon/CO2 mix will reduce spatter. It is excellent for use on thin gauge mild steel.
