88820 Speedbor Spade Drill Bit, 1-1/4 In., 6 In. Oal

The Irwin 88820 Speedbor Spade Drill Bit is a 1-1/4 inch wood boring bit designed for drilling clean, efficient holes in wood with standard drill chucks. This flat-flute spade bit features a grooved hex shank that grips securely in quick change chucks and drill extensions, preventing slipping during operation.

Speedbor bits solve common drilling problems: the blue groove point and cutting edge accelerate chip removal for faster drilling, while double cutting spurs scribe the outside of each hole to minimize splintering and breakout. The grooved hex shank design ensures the bit stays firmly seated in the chuck, delivering consistent performance under load.
