Harvey Pipe Thread Compound is a gray, non-drip paste formulated to seal pipe joint threads on lines carrying water, steam, air, or natural gas. This sealant prevents corrosion to threads, ensuring a reliable seal for your plumbing projects. Whether you're a seasoned plumber or a DIY enthusiast tackling repairs and installations, this compound is an essential tool for achieving leak-free joints.
The thick paste consistency allows for easy, controlled application directly where needed, and the convenient brushtop bottle design eliminates the need for separate brushes, making the job straightforward and mess-free. Because this compound never hardens, joints can separate easily when maintenance or repairs are required—a critical advantage over rigid sealants that may make future disassembly difficult.
Features and Benefits
- Non-Drip Thick Paste: The dense consistency stays in place during application and provides a strong seal that won't run or drip.
- Prevents Corrosion: Guards threads against rust and chemical damage by blocking moisture, protecting pipe connections.
- Never Hardens: Remains pliable indefinitely, allowing joints to be separated easily for maintenance, repairs, or modifications without damaging threads.
- Lead-Free and Non-Toxic: Safe for potable water systems and meets safety standards for drinking water applications.
- Brushtop Bottle: Integrated brush applicator streamlines application and eliminates the need for separate tools, reducing mess and improving precision.
- Compact and Lightweight: The 8 fl-oz jar is easy to store and transport, keeping your plumbing supply kit organized and portable.
