KILZ Original is an oil-based alkyd primer engineered for both interior and exterior painting projects. This versatile primer provides a reliable foundation that blocks severe stains—including tannin bleed, graffiti, smoke, fire, and water damage—while delivering strong adhesion to multiple surface types. Whether you're preparing walls for a fresh coat of paint, sealing problem surfaces, or tackling a renovation, this primer ensures your topcoat adheres beautifully and performs durably over time.

The flat, non-reflective finish creates a smooth surface ready to accept paint. The oil-based formula is tintable, allowing you to customize the primer to match your specific needs, and cleanup is straightforward using mineral spirits.
