55278323 14/2 Act Armored Cable, 100 Ft.

The Southwire 14/2 ACT armored cable is a heavy-duty electrical solution designed for residential and commercial installations where protection and reliability matter. This 100-foot coil features two 14-gauge copper conductors and an aluminum-bonded ground wire, all enclosed in a steel-reinforced armor jacket. Armored cable is ideal for indoor wiring applications where the cable may be exposed to physical damage, moisture, or other harsh conditions that could compromise unprotected wire.

ACT (Armored Cable Type) cable simplifies installations by combining protection and conductivity in one product, reducing the need for additional protective conduit. The steel armor jacket resists impact, abrasion, and rodent damage while maintaining the low voltage drop that copper conductors provide. This cable works for lighting circuits, outlets, small-appliance circuits, and general wiring in homes, workshops, and light commercial settings.

Features and Benefits

• Steel-reinforced armor jacket: Provides superior mechanical protection against physical damage and rodents.
• Two 14-AWG copper conductors: Guarantees excellent electrical conductivity with minimal voltage drop for efficient power delivery.
• Aluminum-bonded ground wire: Offers a reliable grounding path that enhances safety and ensures code compliance.
• 100-foot coil length: Supplies ample run length for most residential and light-commercial projects, reducing the need for splicing and connection points.
• Flexible design: Routes easily through walls, conduit, and tight spaces despite the protective steel armor.
