Camco's 5500W/240V screw-in ripple fold back ultra low watt density lime life water heater elements are best suited for areas with problem water (hard water, lime, sand buildup, etc.). The ultra low watt density reduces the chance of lime buildup and the high-performance nickel-chromium stainless steel alloy sheath resists dry firing, making it ideal for problem water areas and locations with an intermittent water supply. The replacement element must be the same voltage and wattage as the element being replaced. Screw-in type elements fit most models of American, AO Smith, Bradford White, Craftmaster (prior to 1991), GE, GS Wood (certain models), Kenmore, Lochinvar, Maytag, Mor-Flo, Reliance, Rheem, Richmond, Rudd, Sears, State, Whirlpool and most water heaters.
